Let’s start a conversation
Tell us what you’re working on — a system that keeps breaking, software you need built, or an IT provider that stopped picking up the phone. You’ll hear back from someone on our Alberta team who can actually answer the question.
Pick whichever way suits you.
Every one of these reaches the same small team in Alberta. There is no routing, no queue, and no script — whoever answers has worked here long enough to help.
Phone
The fastest route. Ask for sales for a new enquiry, or the service desk if you’re already a client.
General enquiries, quotes, and project questions. Existing clients: use helpdesk@bky.ca so your request lands in the service desk queue.
Service areas
On-site service throughout both metropolitan regions and surrounding communities. Meetings and site visits are by appointment.

What happens after you hit send
-
We read it — a person, same day
Your message goes to a shared inbox our leadership team monitors, not a lead-scoring tool.
-
You get a reply within one business day
From whoever is best placed to answer — often an engineer or developer rather than a salesperson.
-
A 30-minute conversation, if it’s useful
Phone, Teams, or in person. We ask about your organization and what isn’t working. No deck, no demo unless you want one.
-
We tell you plainly whether we fit
Including when we don’t. If another provider is the better answer, we’ll say so and point you at one.
Real people in Alberta. Not a call centre.
Becker, Keating & Young Technologies (BKY) — has been operating out of Edmonton since 1999. We’re a team of managed IT engineers, full-stack software developers, and the people who answer the phone. That’s the whole company.
It means your first conversation is with someone who knows our clients by name and can tell you honestly whether we’re the right fit. It also means we don’t hand you off between departments to get a straight answer.
- 27 years, same company Many of our clients have been with us for more than twenty of them.
- 95% of new work comes by referral We grow because clients recommend us, which is also why we won’t oversell you.
- Infrastructure and software, in one team The engineers who run your network sit beside the developers who build your software.
Proudly supporting Edmonton and Calgary.
We deliver managed IT services and on-site support throughout the Edmonton and Calgary metropolitan regions and surrounding communities.

Our team is mobile and ready to be on-site when and where your organization needs us.
The first conversation is free. It stays a conversation.
You don’t need a budget, a project plan, or a decision ready. Tell us what’s not working and we’ll give you a straight read on it — including if the honest answer is that you don’t need us yet.
Questions we get asked first.
The four things most people want cleared up before they pick up the phone.
Do you work outside Alberta?
It depends which part of BKY you need.
Managed IT services are Alberta only — Edmonton, Calgary, and the surrounding regions. That’s deliberate. Running someone’s infrastructure properly means being able to put an engineer in the building, and we won’t promise that somewhere we can’t drive to.
Custom software and our own products are national. Election Portal, LabourConnex, and Union Drive serve organizations across Canada and into the United States, and development projects can be run from anywhere. If you’re outside Alberta and need software built or hosted, we’re a fit.
Do you support organizations of our size?
Most of our managed IT clients run between roughly 10 and 150 staff. Below about ten users, a full managed agreement is usually more structure than you need — we’ll tell you that rather than sell you one.
Software is different. Our products support workplace organizations from a single local of a few hundred members up to bodies representing tens of thousands. Election Portal alone currently serves seventeen locals and around 66,000 voting members.
If you’re unsure, ask. A five-minute conversation will settle it either way.
Can you build custom software?
Yes — with our own developers, in house, and we’ve been doing it for over twenty years. This is the part most IT providers can’t offer.
That covers line-of-business applications, member and dispatch systems, integrations between systems that were never designed to talk to each other, reporting and dashboards, and migrations off software that has reached end of life. We also build and operate our own SaaS products, which means we live with the consequences of our own engineering decisions.
Because the same company runs your infrastructure and writes your software, there’s no finger-pointing when something breaks between the two.
How quickly can we get started?
A first conversation, usually this week. A written assessment and proposal, typically within two weeks of that.
For managed IT, onboarding runs two to four weeks depending on the size of your environment and how much documentation your current provider hands over. We plan around your operations, not ours — cutovers happen evenings and weekends so nobody loses a working day.
For software projects, discovery starts as soon as you’re ready. You’ll see working software in a sandbox within the first few weeks rather than waiting months for a big reveal.
Something else on your mind? Ask us directly — there’s no wrong question at this stage.
